Welcome to The Happy Fault

Welcome to The Happy Fault

For a long time, I thought I needed a prettier name.

Something soft. Something elegant. Something that could hold the kind of jewelry I wanted to make - playful, but still wearable. Sweet, but not childish. Handmade, but not unfinished. Cozy, but not confused.

The Shy Kitsu Cafe was a name I loved. It carried a part of me: the quietness, the softness, the little world I wanted to build. But over time, I started feeling like the name no longer explained what the work was becoming.

I was not building a cafe.

I was not only making cute things.

I was making wearable little pieces of art - earrings shaped from clay, color, small mistakes, unexpected turns, and all the little details that happen when something is made by hand.

So the brand needed to change with me.

Welcome to The Happy Fault.

The name came from the way my creative process actually works. I rarely make something exactly the way I planned it. A color changes after baking. A slab becomes darker than expected. A pattern does not cut the way I imagined. A design I thought would be perfect suddenly feels wrong. A scrap pile starts looking more interesting than the original idea.

And sometimes, the mistake becomes the piece.

That is what The Happy Fault means to me.

It is the beautiful accident. The unexpected detail. The little imperfection that makes something feel alive. It is the moment a plan breaks open and something softer, stranger, or better appears.

This new chapter is still handmade. Still slow. Still full of tiny details.

But it feels more honest now.

The Happy Fault is for the person who likes softness but has lived through hard things. For the woman becoming herself again. For anyone who still notices little things - leaves on a walk, shells from a trip, the shape of a flower, the color of evening light, a catโ€™s tiny paw, a mushroom after rain.

Right now, I make small-batch polymer clay earrings. In the future, this space may also hold trinket dishes, worry stones, art prints, clay cutters, and other small objects made by hand.

The form may change.

The feeling will stay the same.

Art handmade from beautiful accidents.

Thank you for being here as this little handmade world becomes something truer.

Welcome to The Happy Fault.
